Conditions we can assess

A focused service for selected common conditions.

You do not need to diagnose yourself before booking. We will listen to your symptoms, assess whether the service is suitable and explain the safest next step.

Allergic rhinitis · selected sore throat · sinusitis · uncomplicated viral respiratory illness

Skin, hair & nails

Acne · eczema · rosacea · fungal skin or nail conditions · male-pattern hair loss

Urinary & intimate health

Women’s & men’s health

Clinical decisions first

A consultation does not automatically mean a prescription.

We will review your symptoms, medical history, current medicines, allergies and relevant risk factors. The right outcome may be advice, treatment, testing, monitoring or referral to another healthcare professional. The consultation fee remains payable whether or not medicine is supplied.

Please bring or know

  • Your current medicines
  • Any allergies or previous reactions
  • Relevant medical conditions
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding status
  • How long symptoms have lasted
  • Anything you have already tried

Common questions

Helpful information before you book.

How much is the consultation?

The face-to-face consultation costs £30. Any medicine supplied is charged separately.

Will I definitely receive a prescription?

No. A prescription or medicine is supplied only when the pharmacist considers it clinically appropriate and safe after assessing you.

Do I need to know what condition I have?

No. Tell us your symptoms when you book. The consultation is designed to assess what may be causing them and whether this service is the right route.

Where does the consultation take place?

Appointments are face to face at Sweenys Health within H Sweeny Chemist, Unit 17, Quayside Shopping Centre, Derry.
